The Congolese High Jewellery House preserving heritage in gold.

Maison DORAMS

Founded on the belief that jewellery is more than ornament, Maison DORAMS creates pieces that carry meaning, memory, and permanence.

In many Congolese families, gold is not simply decoration. It is security, legacy, and continuity across generations.

Maison DORAMS transforms that philosophy into high jewellery.

The Founder

Maison DORAMS was founded by Doriane Kanguvu.

Raised within a Congolese cultural tradition where gold symbolizes stability, heritage, and dignity, she envisioned a jewellery house that would preserve those values through contemporary design.

Her vision was simple:

To create jewels that are not only beautiful, but meaningful.

"My mother is from the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a region known for breathtaking beauty and unimaginable strength, but also for the suffering and injustice women have endured for generations. Growing up, I watched these women rise above unthinkable circumstances with quiet resilience and unbreakable dignity. Their courage became my greatest inspiration. I created Maison DORAMS from a deeply personal place, a desire to honour the women who shaped me."

Our Heritage

The Democratic Republic of Congo is home to some of the world’s most significant natural resources and cultural traditions.

For generations, gold has represented more than wealth, it has represented continuity.

Maison DORAMS draws inspiration from African symbolism, architecture, and sacred geometry, transforming these influences into modern heirlooms.

Our Philosophy

Luxury With Meaning

At Maison DORAMS, every jewel carries intention.

The house rejects disposable fashion in favor of permanence.

Each piece is created to be worn, remembered, and eventually passed down.

Jewellery that does not simply decorate a life, but accompanies it.

Craftsmanship

Every piece from Maison DORAMS is produced in limited quantities using precious metals and traditional jewellery techniques.

Certain creations, such as the Temple Bangle, are commissioned in extremely limited numbers each year.

This deliberate scarcity preserves the integrity and collectibility of the house’s creations.

A New Generation of High Jewellery

Maison DORAMS represents a new voice in high jewellery — one rooted in heritage, symbolism, and cultural preservation.

Each creation is an invitation to wear meaning.

From Our Founder

"One might say that DORAMS has been over 20 years in the making. My fascination with jewellery has been a lifelong journey, a passion, perhaps even a calling. From early on, I knew jewellery would be my chosen language, a way to express myself through style and bring depth to every outfit.

The concept of DORAMS is to create more than just jewellery; we forge symbols of freedom and choice. As a woman from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I have been inspired by the resilience and grace of Congolese women who rise with strength and dignity, no matter the challenges they face. Their spirit and the rich cultural heritage of my homeland have shaped my vision for DORAMS, a brand that embodies empowerment and self-expression.

In creating DORAMS, I aimed to give a voice to women everywhere, a space where elegance is redefined on their own terms, where luxury feels personal, and where each piece reflects the freedom every woman deserves. DORAMS is my homage to the indomitable spirit of women, celebrating their right to express individuality with boldness and beauty, just as the courageous women of the DRC do every day.

I founded DORAMS to create more than luxury. I wanted to create meaning. I wanted to give women something that says, this is who I am."
